EPICA Singer To Perform With KAMELOT On Entire North American Tour
July 3, 2011Singer Simone Simons of Dutch symphonic metallers EPICA will join KAMELOT on their upcoming North American tour, which kicks off on August 26 and wraps on September 23.
Simone the longtime girlfriend of KAMELOT keyboardist Oliver Palotai previously appeared on the song "The Haunting", which was included on KAMELOT's 2005 album "The Black Halo", and on the band's newest ballad, "House On A Hill", as well the title track of KAMELOT's latest album, 2010's "Poetry For The Poisoned". She has also made a number of live appearances with the group, including on KAMELOT's recent South American and European tours.
Commented Simone, "I hope you come and pay a visit and have a great time." She adds, "I'll be singing 'The Haunting', a familiar song, and [I'm] just looking forward to having a good time with the KAMELOT family."
KAMELOT's recently completed South American and European tours featured guest singer Fabio Lione of RHAPSODY OF FIRE following the departure of KAMELOT's longtime frontman, Roy Khan.
The remaining members of KAMELOT have already begun searching for a permanent replacement, with KAMELOT founder/guitarist Thomas Youngblood stating in a recent interview, "I have a few guys in mind. And as you can imagine, it is a very important decision. There are some amazing singers that have already contacted us on this but we will take our time to find the right person."
